Comments: longest ride I've done in probably 20 years. Wore Tri-shorts instead of bike shorts... won't make that mistake again. other than that it was a good, comfortable paced ride. Limited amount of traffic and there was no other pressure to go harder/faster/slower, etc. As always I had fun and I finished. What more could I ask for? What would you do differently?: wear biking shorts, drink more water - take 2nd water bottle with Gatorade or similar electrolyte substance. Post race
Warm down: Stretched calves a couple time through event and then general body stretching after the event What limited your ability to perform faster: endurance training or lack thereof. I'm still a beginning rider so I'll do better as time goes along. Event comments: snack stops, lunch, t-shirts, and nice drawn prizes (if you won one) I'll do it again next year - I might even attempt the longer ride :) Last updated: 2007-05-20 12:00 AM
