Freezing water!
What would you do differently?:

Wear a wetsuit!
Sight a target, and swim a straight 100 yrds at a time w/ out looking

Difficulty putting on shoes because of shivering

Attach GU to bike and eat after getting on the move
Use tri-shoes instead of running shoes

Use easy-access, one-handed bottle
