Swim
Comments: Started waaaay too fast. Probably started at my 50yd sprint pace. So after 100yd I was sucking wind. Toughed it out with breast and backstroke. What would you do differently?: Need to start slooowly. I was overconfident coming into the swim. I should be able to do this swim in 7:30. Transition 1
Comments: Solid here. Transition times are not a limiter for me. 35/92 OA, 6/9 AG What would you do differently?: Learn to ride without socks. Bike
Comments: Well, if there's one thing I do a lot of, it's ride hills at high altitude, so relative to the other competitors this course plays to my strength. I love my 34x28 granny gear. What would you do differently?: Just ride more. Transition 2
Comments: T2 is my best event! 13/92 OA, 3/9 AG Run
Comments: Very happy with this run, a 10:00 pace on this hilly of a course is very good for me. What would you do differently?: Still need to get the run volume up. I'm still giving up the most time on the run. Post race
Event comments: Good race, weather was great, challenging course. Organization was perfect except for the 30 minute start delay waiting for the EMTs to arrive (hard to blame the RD for that though.) My only criticism is that there was NO shade at the post-race area. I recommended this race. Last updated: 2007-06-04 12:00 AM
