Comments:

Rough start to the day. Seas were pretty choppy with a substantial current working against me. Water was crystal clear but chop and current really sucked .

Course: A BRUTAL Course with many riders on it. Felt more like an ITU race. Got pelted with massive rain storms and tropical force gusts. Bike handled GREAT but with all the standing water and rain, brakes were non existant. Total technical ride. Took some pretty large risks at high speeds getting through the groups of riders that were drafting.

Decided just to go "old school". ANother gutsy move on my part for this distance and especially after the effort on the 2 preveious legs. No HR monitor- just my watch. WooooHoooooo!
Course: I saw many different challenging conditons on this course today. I saw wind, rain, heavy rain, heat and serious humidity. A GREAT comeback for me from the Florida IM 70.3 back in May. It was both a mental and physical victory for me on a tough course and after 2 PR's in both previous legs of the race. 2 loop 6.1 mile out and back with some bridges.
