Swim
Comments: Could be a minute and a half faster if I had followed the right person. But this would have made no difference to overall AG placing. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Shoulder still a little tired from Thur practice swim. But Thurs OWS organized practice on race course had to be done to build confidence. Will need more OWS practices. Transition 1
Comments: Some person knocked my bike off the rack twice during transition. Lost at least a minute as a result. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Can't control what other people do. Bike
Comments: Bike time includes T1 & T2. Crashed on one u-turn. Avg speed according to bike computer = 30kph, top speed = 45kph What would you do differently?: Not crash. Better safe than sorry. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Took a small wrong turn rounding into finish chute. Volunteer asked "Where do you think you're going?" Hmmm, I thought they're supposed to tell me so I don't take the wrong turn. Might have lost a few seconds. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Event comments: Generally happy with race. Things I can control - training before race week, race week tapering, nutrition and sleep - I did the best I could. Could have been 3 minutes faster if everything went perfect on race day, but this would make no difference in AG rank. W45-49 has the most women of all AG this year, and very fast compared to last year. I would have qualified in any other AG, but in my own AG, I'll have to wait for roll down results. This is now out of my control, so no sense worrying about it, as I've done the best of things I can control. PS. July 4 - no luck on roll down. Needed 2 persons to decline their spots and that didn't happen. Last updated: 2007-06-11 12:00 AM
