Swim
Comments: I simply have not swam since my last tri and a 3min 100 is nothing to be proud of, but on the same note i really felt very comfortable on the swim, and i was not tired at all, whihc is always a goal of mine to not put out too much on the swim, I just think of it as a warmup. I really need to hit the pool more as i can do a lot better in the water. What would you do differently?: Train more Transition 1
Comments: The transition was at least .25 mile. My bike was as far from the exit point as possible and i have yet to master the shoes already clipped in the pedal mount, so i accepted the transition i had. I had a decent transition otherwise. What would you do differently?: Learn to run with the shoes clipped alrady. Bike
Comments: I had a great bike. As i left, i was instantly up to 22-23 mph, and i held that for a while. I was actually at 24 for a fair amount of the way, and i had a suspicion there was some wind at my back. Sure enough, on the way back the wind was in the face. I really felt great on the bike - best i have ever had. I drank all of my water and ate my gels as well which really helped on the run. What would you do differently?: Just the transtitioning. Otherwise it was my best bike race yet. Transition 2
Comments: Had some accel gels and water. Run
Comments: I went with a 2/1 run/walk after the forst mile. I really felt good the whole wy until the last .4 miles, where people are saying you are almost done and there is still a long way to go. I really enjoyed this run course and for this distance the best showing for me mostly because the weather and proper hydration. What would you do differently?: Train more Post race
Warm down: Grabbed a piece of pizza and stretched a little. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training as always- i have improved on my bike quite a bit - a little on the run and none on the swim. Event comments: Loved the race. I cannot believe I WON - i could care less if there was only one other person in my AG - i won. We did not stick around for medals because we had to get home for a birthday party, and when i got home i saw that I WON. I am so happy. Last updated: 2007-06-11 12:00 AM

Drove to Miami on Saturday for bike checkin and packet pickup . The event was very organized, and I saw Irene (panout) and we hung around a ittle and purchased some gear. We ate sushi for our prerace dinner and i went a little overboard with some fried banana desert. Got to bed by 10:00pm as we had to be up at 5:30am because we could not park until 6:20am per our race packet.
Set up transitions and saw Irene and JAmie (panout) and then stretched a little. Peed clear about three times so i was comfortable with my hydration level. It was pretty cool in the morning as well, so i was hoping the cool would stick around. Swam a little to warm up and get used to the water.
