If I came in 7 of 18, everyone else really sucks. I swam into uncoming traffic several times--obviously I go right. I am a slice swimmer.
What would you do differently?:

maybe go harder and of course sight more often. Probably wasted 30sec-1min. off course.

My calf was tweaking as usual, so I took it real easy. I felt like I didn't even break a sweat. I guess it is hard to run really slow and then ramp up to a reasonable speed. Had fun though-very enjoyable run after first 1/2 mile or so.
What would you do differently?:

maybe push harder after 1st mile.

walked around, stretched calves/hams/achilles.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Bike training needs to be more intense.

Event comments:

I thought this was a great first race for me. I had done the course several times and felt very comfortable. Really wish I pushed harder. I felt like it was a day in the park.

I really liked cheering people on-totally NOT like me, but couldn't help myself.
