![]() Swim
Comments: the swim was very bad! Ieven had to do breaststroke at one point. I wasn't getting into a rythm and couln't get my breathing to relax. I was even deported by the force of the jets coming from the filtration system!!! What would you do differently?: train more ![]() Transition 1
Comments: still to much of a wuss to try to jump on the bike and pedal on the shoes...the montreal disaster is still too fresh in my mind. iran with my cycling shoes. What would you do differently?: for now, nothing ![]() Bike
Comments: i was already a bit drained from the bad swim and the wind was a real challenge but this new bike course was fun and exciting. What would you do differently?: nothing ![]() Transition 2
![]() Run
Comments: my calves were sore coming off the bike, i've never felt this beaten up before. But, surprisingly, i didn't notice the blisters and the bleeding of my heels from the shaffing of both my shoes until i bent over to give my time chip...talk about adrenaline blocking anything!i had to walk some bits of the course. What would you do differently?: run more, block the negative toughts, have more faith in my abilities ![]() Post race
Warm down: a bit of stretching, sat down with my team to have lunch What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of training between my last race and this one. Event comments: I got a bronze medal...ok,ok, there were only 3 women in my age group so they had to give me one. I was REALLY surprised when they called me to the podium. So, even if i was disapointed,i got something to show for being there. Hey, DFL better than DNF better than DNS and you can get a medal too ;) Last updated: 2007-06-22 12:00 AM
