Swim
Comments: I was swimmer for the team CHOP relay. My swim wave was with all males 20-30. So needless to say I was pretty intimidated at the start. It ended up not being too bad. I went out hard and took a breath every stroke to make sure I didn't panic. I thought if I can keep enough air in my lungs, I will be ok. It wasn't until about 400 in I was able to get out of enough traffic I could bi-lateral breath. Then I settled in to a nice hard stroke. I ended up cathcing the 2 waves in front of me which SUCKED! I had a hard time getting around the breaststrokers. I sprinted into the finish and ran my little ass off into T1. What would you do differently?: Go harder. I left MOST of it in the water, but could have left more. Transition 1
Comments: Adam took the anklet/chip off of me and put on Jeff. We lucked out on a good spot in transition. Bike
Transition 2
Comments: I nabbed the anklet/chip off of Jeff and put on Adam. Pretty smooth transition. Run
Post race
Event comments: My team rocked! We got first out of ALL the relay teams. I was definetly the weaker link, so I feel like I don't deserve the win. BUT, I have to remind myself that I still did good considering it was still only my 2nd OW race. And even though I swam more distance today, I improved my pace. Next year, we'll totally smoke the other teams. Last updated: 2007-06-23 12:00 AM

Up again early, 5am. Got to race sight and saw where my biker would be. I got my bearings and then onto a bus to be shipped over to swim start.
Like yesterday, I swam about 300. Slow build up to race pace.
