Pre-race routine:

Up at 5, fruit & yogurt & hazlenut..tunes to go..throw stuff in the car , 1 1/2 hr ride ..8 state police on the mass pike passed me in 33 miles!
Got to site & parked a few spaces down from c2..hit the portajohn, & off to register, get body marked & set up- OOPs forgot the wetsuit!
Event warmup:

jogging back to the car to get the wetsuit- standing in the water thinking about swimming, stressing out about not noticing the entrance & exits for transition...Chat with c2 & csimpkins..enjoy the sun & warm water

about 1/4 mile pavement run from beach to transition..wetsuit halfway off..dizzy after swim..& slow getting wetsuit over heels ,,C2 thoughtfully brought a bucket to sit on which made a big difference comfort wise if not speed..(thanks!)never very speedy getting on the bike=shoes have a buckle that has been broken since crash..struggle to get them on..(
What would you do differently?:

move faster- new shoes..jump on ..also forgot to grab a gel..again

had a fun ride..had forgotten the one big hill and the yechy pavement there were some dangerous fellow cyclists on that descent!
What would you do differently?:

push harder..i often lose focus just having fun & could go faster if I would just stay on task!

well..in the morning I had started to rack on one side of the rack..& then switched to the opposite side so yup- went to the wrong side of the rack first & then DUH..remembered..cost me time..again forgot a gel- AND ran out of transition with my sunglasses on which I do NOT like to run with- so had to jam them in my mesh pocket & have sticking in to my side for the run..
What would you do differently?:

not do any of the above LOL

an "ok" run didn't feel great or terrible- had fun..left foot had been numb since about half the bike but didn't interfere too much..saw c2 smiling on his way out-gotta love that BT hug ..some guy came up last few yards and ran over the finish mat at the same time- hey whatever..
Post race
Warm down:

felt good at the end..just got some water & went back to cheer people in C2 cruised in looking happy & strong, csimpkins had already finished-(Speedy One!) caught up with him at the food spot looking refreshed !..bumped into a friend & chatted. just generally milled about enjoying the day & the company ..stayed for the awards & got a jug of hammer gel for 2nd AG ..now if I can just remember to actually INGEST the stuff during a race! LOL

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lots,,but no excuses..just improve next time.

Fun "Training day" -Patriot is only one week away!!!It was a perfect day-clear, warm, sunny..I had a great time..!
