Swim
Comments: Not a bad swim. Busy at first as usual but I pulled away from the second pack behind the lead pack into clear water after the first turn. Took a little bit for me to get into my normal breathing rate. Stroke felt good. Water was murky. What would you do differently?: Push harder at the start to stay with the lead group. Transition 1
Comments: Long run from the water to my bike. Uphill then down hill. Slow transition time result. Blah What would you do differently?: Run faster to my bike. Bike
Comments: Pretty good bike ride. I think I could have pushed harder but mentally I am still worried about my run segment so I held back a touch. What would you do differently?: Pushed harder. Drank a little more. Transition 2
Comments: Missed my marker to get my shoes off!! Only got one foot out so I had to dismount with one shoe on. Took it off and started the uphill run to my rack spot. After slipping on socks and shoes I grabbed my belt, gps, hat, and gel and headed even more up hill to the run start. I don't know if it was just the transition area or me but my T times SUCKED!!! What would you do differently?: Get out of my shoes and have a faster T time Run
Comments: Started out fair taking my gel and running up the hills. When I got to the camp grounds I was not feeling the best. I think it was the hills that pushed my pace all over the place. My gps said I had a fast pace of 5:50/mi and slow pace of 9:02. MAN!! What would you do differently?: Run faster. My runs are not where they need to be. Post race
Warm down: MarvArnett grabbed me and walked me to the shade. Then we had some water and started cheering the rest of the racers in. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough interval training with my run. When I compare my age group rankings I am happy with my swim and bike but not happy with my run. These sprints favor the runners so I need to get my ass in gear. Event comments: I'm gonna be running tonight!!! Last updated: 2007-06-25 12:00 AM
