Comments:

I couldnt find my damn bike!! Never had that happen before.....once I found it then I tried to clip in......had a hard time clipping....got my right foot in and then hit the pedal with my shin and damn....got a bump immediately. It doesnt hurt but it is nice and bursed and has a big lump on it!
What would you do differently?:

Know whrere my bike is!!!

Comments:

I had thought about my ear infection and the water but never even thought about the wind blowing in them. Boy at one time I had tears coming out of my left eye. I had to take and hold my right ear closed with my finger alot also. Really sucked.
What would you do differently?:

Put some cotton or plugs in my ears if I have another ear infection while biking
Transition 2
  • 03m 52s
Comments:

Someone else had there bike in my spot. This race actually had assigned racks and someone else had there bike there. A volunteer came over and said I could move it because if I raced wrong I could get a penalty.....well.....give this one a penalty for racking in my space!!!
Run
  • 2h 41m 43s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 12m 20s  min/mile
Comments:

Wonderful volunteers on the course......nice cold wet towels at the stations as well. The course was very hilly but a nice course.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing....felt good.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Being sick since Monday and the antibiotics havent kicked its ass yet. Not finding my bike and someone else taking my rack space

Event comments:

Course: Rough water.....very choppy which will help me be ready for the Ohio River I hope. The sun beats in your face if you breath to your right side and then on the last 500 or so yards it is smack dab in front of you and reflects off the water. Very easy to go off course. With my ear infection I worried about the water but it wasnt too bad.
