Swim
Comments: Typically I dont like to wade and start but it really wasnt too bad, I tried not thinking about it. Stayed in the back so I didnt get hit. I still protect my shoulder after surgery 2 years ago. My chip almost got pulled off and kept thinking it was coming off the last half of swim. After the final turn it seemed to have a stronger current, maybe from where everything was stirred up? Transition 1
Comments: Long Long run to transition......hurt your feet a bit. Getting onto the bike my left foot took sometime to get in and I just told myself to relax. What would you do differently?: Bring shoes or socks or something to step into for the long haul back Bike
Comments: Nice ride. I could have worked alot harder but I had fun looking at the cows.....some small waterfalls and just went out and had a good ride. What would you do differently?: I wouldnt race harder being that I am doing my first IM in August so I am treating these as just training days. Putting my time in on the bike Transition 2
Comments: Better transition.......I didnt have much space so trying to find my things were tough. What would you do differently?: get to transition earlier in the morning so the person beside me doesnt have there stuff under my bike. I had to put my stuff on top of there towel. Run
Comments: Seemed like a very long run to me. I liked the course though. The hills were tough and the young man in the devils outfit was great as well as the fire dept at the very top! Great police and volunteer help on the run course Had some issues with left IT Band bothering me and then on my right foot my toe next to my big toe really started to hurt and took my shoe off at the finish and it was swollen and hurt to touch. Didnt feel like it was hitting the top of my shoe? Post race
Warm down: Massage Event comments: HFP always does such a wonderful job. Not sure why they everyone wait so long for awards? Most had already left. I felt alot of support from the community here and loved the fact they made a special newspaper insert for the race with everyones names that were registered....what a great keepsake!
