Sunny
Total Time = 00m
Overall Rank = 34/35
Age Group = W 30-34
Age Group Rank = 3/3
Pre-race routine:

Ate cliff bar and used the porta potties several times. Set up transition area.
Swim
  • 35m 27s
  • 1500 meters
  • 02m 22s / 100 meters
Comments:

Felt like a really long swim, but it was faster than my Oly at BH.
What would you do differently?:

Try to draft more.
Transition 1
  • 02m 30s
Bike
  • 1h 30m 51s
  • 40 kms
  • 26.42 km/hr
Comments:

Hips were pretty sore at the 30k mark. Right IT band was tingly.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. This wasn't my A race, but was still working hard.
Transition 2
  • 01m 30s
Comments:

Had a bit of trouble getting my runners on. I think that's because my feet never totally dried on the bike ride. No socks for me today.
What would you do differently?:

Dry my feet off a bit more before trying to jam them into my shoes.
Run
  • 1h 05m 30s
  • 10 kms
  • 06m 33s  min/km
Comments:

Was feeling pretty nauseous when I started the run and I really had to pee. Thankfully, the first part of the run is in the bush along the river, so I was able to find a spot to relieve some of the pressure in my bladder. Stomach settled after that. Also battled a side stitch and calf cramps. This was all in the first loop.
Second loop was a lot better as I was finally able to settle into a rhythm and no longer felt sick. Forced myself to take in some water along the route. I was disappointed that my run was a little slower than at BH.
What would you do differently?:

Not jam as much "nutrition" into my stomach towards the end of the bike.
Post race
Warm down:

Ate some food, started packing up my gear.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The fact that this race was a tune up for the big one next weekend. Didn't push 100% today, but I wasn't exactly slacking either.

Event comments:

I really enjoy doing Pinawa. It is where I did my first triathlon.
I won a prize in a random draw - water bottle, bike tube, mosquito wipes, and a Cateye computer for my bike.
I was happy to beat my time from BH.
