My son and I did this event as a team. This was only his second race and he loved it! He felt great because he made it up the small hill without getting off..

Was so busy asking how my son liked the course and what he thought I took my time. It was a nice transition and he gave me a kiss and said good luck...see you in a half hour, :-)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

not worried about performing faster....just having fun doing some sprint races with my son

Event comments:

I decided to do these smaller races with my 13 year old son as a team. We have been doing them as duathlons due to me not wanting to sit wet and wait for his return. This was his second race and he is having fun. Now if I could get him running and swimming. He is showing some interest in running alittle and hopefully by the first of August he can do a duathlon himself. I would race with him side by side the whole way if I can get him going! He thinks there is leaches in the lakes so he wont go there yet. LOL
