Run
Comments: Not my best 5K. I've been having some hip balance\lower back issues that are throwing off my gait a little bit. I did feel like I ran for some longer stretches than last year but could have pushed a little harder. I'll keep working on it. I did run the last .4 into the finish...it helped that I knew the course. What would you do differently?: Work harder on my running training. Lose more weight. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, ate a nutrigrain bar and slice of pizza. Drank 2 bottles of water. What limited your ability to perform faster: Injury and training issues. I have an appointment with a chiropractor to fix the back/hip issues....need to keep training and working on improving running endurance. Event comments: Well organized and fun race. Supports a great cause....Autism. The only downside for me is the group warm-up at the beginning....the trainer is very loud and annoying, and that isn't very settling before a race! Woke up, had a banana, nectar bar and some water.
Walked around the venue and did some warm up stretches. Tried to stay away from the group warm up. The leader is always brash, loud and annoying. It tends to me make more nervous then act as any constructive warm-up.
