Comments: Ended up with a pretty bad chafe/burn on my neck from the strap of my tri top. Not sure how to fix that, other than bodyglide and/or altering my stroke. What would you do differently?: Bodyglide my neck!!! And probably stretch my arms a bit better. Post race
Warm down: Stagger out of the water. :) What limited your ability to perform faster: Probably should have stretched my trapezius & biceps a bit more. And, you know, train more. Event comments: I'm kind of amazed that I PRed on my pace. I haven't been swimming nearly as much as I should, and I hadn't gotten enough sleep over the last few nights. I thought I was going to have a terrible race, but I ended up with a faster pace than I had on my last OWS race (for which I was much more prepared). Last updated: 2007-07-02 12:00 AM
