Pre-race routine:

Woke up about 4:45 and sliowly got ready. Had a PBJ uncrustable and some water.

I had a really hard time getting started mentaly. I was dreading the swim all morning and that really showed on the swim start. I couldnt catch my breath and had to side stroke for a while. Finally once warmed up I had no trouble and was able to comllete the swim freestyle.
What would you do differently?:

Try to warm up and not let the swim get in my head. I need to practice more Deep water OWS's to help build my confidence.

This was what made the race so much fun! It was a very hilly course and cooked my legs. It was really neat to be riding a bike on the expressway with cars flying by on the outside lane. The scenery was great and the weather was perfect!

Over all this was a good run. It was a bit hilly and we had to climb some steps which sucked. I tried to keep up a steady pace with a fast cadence but was not able to hold it for long. I really need to learn to push thru the pain of running!
What would you do differently?:

Run more and work on tolerance

Water and some beers at the club tent and tried to relax

10 beers the days before :>)

I loved this race and had alot of fun. Will definatly do again next year.
