Swim
Comments: Overall not bad for my first Oly race. The waves going out caught me by surprise (and probably was not that choppy relatively speaking). Also I kept swiiming into people or others swam into me. Finally I kept going off course trying to avoid other racers, adding to my time. However, my goal was to finish it and use it as a warm up. Also the first time I ever swam this length in a wetsuit. The wetsuit irritated my neck. What would you do differently?: Look up more often to see where I am going. Try to draft more. Transition 1
Comments: Took my time in T1. I think I was worried that I would forget something (what?!). Also spent a few seconds talking to my neighbor. She was quicker than me in getting out of T1. What would you do differently?: Go faster. Organize the area better. Bike
Comments: Well this will be a race that I won't forget as it was my first Oly and my first flat. Got the flat at about mile 3 and spent too long changing it. The rest of the race went well especially since no one was passing me! What would you do differently?: Make sure I have a good rear tire. Transition 2
Comments: Nothing special here. Just tried to clean my greasy hands a little. Run
Comments: Run was harder than expected and a little bit of a mind game since it involved 2 laps. Again, I was passing everyone and no one passed me. What would you do differently?: Prepare harder for the run. Post race
Warm down: Walking mostly. What limited your ability to perform faster: This a an orientation race - a confidence booster to see if I could do it. Obviously more preperation in all three areas, especailly the run would have helped. I think I am beyond help in the swim. Event comments: Received a nice shirt but starting the race late did not help. I also wonder if the food aferwards could have been better (pizza?). But still, it was a great location, great people, and one that I would do again. Last updated: 2007-07-03 12:00 AM

Still learning how to set up transition area. Nervously spoke with other racers about whether or not to put on shoes on pedals (did not). Got there very early to register and was able to spend the extra time walking around. Race started late, giving me more time.
None. Got my feet wet.
