Run
Comments: felt good, just a little hot in the beginning. about mile 1 my stomach started to rumble and i knew i would have to find a porta-potty. at mile 2 i left my friends i was running with for the bathroom. felt much better afterwards and kept going. i realized i was running slower though without my friends, but i felt comfortable and i didn't want to over do it given my stomach and my horrible experience last year. i felt ok until about mile 5 when oh oh, my stomach kicked in again. it sucked. i think i actually ran faster in the last mile because i knew how badly i needed that porta-potty. oh, also, i drank at every water stop and poured water on my neck and head in effort to stay cool, so i could run a better pace. What would you do differently?: maybe not eat a half cooked hamburger the night before...duh! Post race
Warm down: porta-potty, to restraunt, had to leave restraunt because of stomach, straight home to my own toilet for the next 8 hours. sick all day. What limited your ability to perform faster: heat, stomach Event comments: fun race for july 4. loved the spectators! Last updated: 2007-07-05 12:00 AM
