Swim
Comments: Did go to fast in the beginning. Was swimming up into others. Did slow down after 150 m. Rounding at the buoy was perfect. Even it was only a 380 meter swim in was still hard and I did go to fast. I think that I was carried away in the start. When I came out off the water I couldn’t stand was almost falling. What would you do differently?: Start in a slower pace and dont go to fast. Transition 1
Comments: T1 went well, but I was very dizzy after the swim. What would you do differently?: Take it a bit slower in the swim. Bike
Comments: It was only 18 km so I thought that I could go faster than I did. Was passed by 10 on the bike. Tried to draft on someone who passed me at 13 km, but could only hold him for 2km. Was going as fast as I could, did feel my calf’s cramping up, just as yesterday in the change training What would you do differently?: Train more! But not the day before! Had a change training Friday and that was to close. Transition 2
Comments: Took my feet out off the shoes but was too late. Had to get off the bike with on shoe still on. Took it off and placed in on the handlebar. Racking the bike and getting into my running shoes was good. What would you do differently?: Train getting off the bike some more Run
Comments: Started out slowly to get the legs moving, without cramping up. Legs was fine after the first half lap. But I never got into my race pace, was simply running to slow. Was passed ones and passed one myself - good feeling ;-) What would you do differently?: Train more! Post race
Warm down: Having some water and a banana What limited your ability to perform faster: More training and the fact that I did start out to fast in the swim. Friday's change training was still in my legs. Event comments: Small triathlon at the annual harbour party. 39 men, 4 women. Nice race, will do it again next year. Last updated: 2007-07-10 12:00 AM
