Pre-race routine:

woke up at 5 ate aPBJ and had some milk and drove down to my friends house just off Piedmont park. We took the marta to the start and waited around a LONG time for our corral TG 8... bumped into another friend who joined us along with his friends and we all started together

No warmup just walked around and waited and waited...

Comments:

THis was my first time running the Peachtree... had heard from so many friends about how tough it can be running at the back so I was kindof prepared. had to weave through people almost the entire way...
Somehow I never 'felt' the hills just sensed that people had kindof stopped so more weaving was required...
I felt strong throughout and maintained the same consisted 8.5 min miles throughout the race...
What would you do differently?:

maybe try and run another race and use the qualifying time to start in the front? ALl through the run I felt like i was running too fast as i was passing tons of people..
It was worst near the finish as the accumulated walkers from all the previous groups were around and it was impossible to 'kick' in the end.. just went at the same pace and finished...
Post race
Warm down:

walked over to the park and collected my shirt and found my friends.. went over to the coke tent and had some drinks and refreshment..
COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THE T BALLOON !!!!
Kicked myself after I reached home...

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Run training - i havent really been training for my running lately - the improvement is coming purely from the fitness improvement from bike and swim..
