Some knitting at the car and then making people laugh with my inability (and needed assistance) in getting my "swim helmet" on my noggin.

My first OWS in a tri. I started way to the side and too fast (as usual). I got my rhythm near the end, but that was fine. It was difficult to swim so close to people. Too much kicking and splashing! I felt good though.
What would you do differently?:

Start out slower, work on sighting more.

Worst feeling on a run ever. Felt like my mantra of "puke and rally" might just come in handy (it didn't). This was WORK. I had to walk and that got me a bit discouraged.
What would you do differently?:

Work on hills?

Drink a bit. Stand and try not to ralph.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Hills. Blame the course, eh? More work on the hills and force myself to eat pre-race and ingest more during the race.
