Swim
Comments: My first OWS in a tri. I started way to the side and too fast (as usual). I got my rhythm near the end, but that was fine. It was difficult to swim so close to people. Too much kicking and splashing! I felt good though. What would you do differently?: Start out slower, work on sighting more. Transition 1
Comments: Hard to run uphill out of the swim in sand. Went quite smoothly though! What would you do differently?: Maybe dry off feet just a bit. Bike
Comments: Front derailer wouldn't work until after mile 9, but so it goes. So many hills. Tiring. What would you do differently?: Work on hills. Work on hills. Avoid hills? Transition 2
Comments: Legs felt a twitch wobbily, but all right. Woo Woo - fastest in my age! Gotta love the little wins... What would you do differently?: Should have grabbed a Gu. Run
Comments: Worst feeling on a run ever. Felt like my mantra of "puke and rally" might just come in handy (it didn't). This was WORK. I had to walk and that got me a bit discouraged. What would you do differently?: Work on hills? Post race
Warm down: Drink a bit. Stand and try not to ralph. What limited your ability to perform faster: Hills. Blame the course, eh? More work on the hills and force myself to eat pre-race and ingest more during the race. Event comments: If you love Hills do it. Last updated: 2007-07-22 12:00 AM

Some knitting at the car and then making people laugh with my inability (and needed assistance) in getting my "swim helmet" on my noggin.
Sitting in the water... sitting on shore... sitting in the transition area... is this bad?
