Pre-race routine:

arrived 1.5 hr early, set up transition, walked around to get the lay of transition area etc,
Event warmup:

did a 2 km run to loosen up, stretched after the run, went down to the water 20 min early to warm up did about 150 mtrs ... cold water ... cold cold water

Comments:

Cold water, glad for suit but still was daunting, after 5 min did not notice the cold. Standing start in the water first time doing that it was different.
What would you do differently?:

Not much it was a good swim, still need to work on sighting was off a bit in some sections. Need to work on drafting more

was a good transition overall was not "rushing" I took a little extra time to make sure everything was right. Wore socks this time so it added to time but was definately a good choice

Did not push enough to keep avg speed up, was not ready for the hills, need better gear range and more leg muscle work (mostly more leg work)

Started off OK good transition tookme until the 1/2 way mark to really get settled in second 1/2 was faster

What limited your ability to perform faster:

not enough training time on the bike left me worn out for the run.

Event comments:

A great venue and race my first time at this event, as usual Trisport did a great job and organized an amazing event.
