Pre-race routine:

Ate 4 oz lite yogurt, Raisin Bran, Two Power Bars, 4 Fig Newtons and 2 cups of coffee before race. Drank 32 oz of Gatorade, 48 oz water in the 2.5 hrs before the start. Slept about 6 hours

Left shoes attached to pedals. Took about 1/2 mile to get them fully on.
What would you do differently?:

Change the way the toungue of my shoe is held up so I can slip my feet into them. Maybe use tape?

Ran out of gas after about 5 hours total. Ran walked the last 5 miles to finish. Held about a 9+40 pace until mile 8.

No leg pain, just not enough energy. Felt like I fueled OK, just got tired!
What would you do differently?:

MAYBE run walk earlier, say in mile 1!

Warm down:

Walked 5 min. Good stretching with lying flat on my back under a semi trailer where I could get good hamstring stretches!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not training past 5 hours! I just need to expand that envelope a bit more, that's all.

Excellent hometown support. The city of Racine came out to cheer us one. GREAT JOB!
