Swim
Comments: Is it just me, or was this swim course longer than usual? I had been working really hard on my swimming and got one of my worst times ever. I noticed that pretty much no women got a PR this year (out of ones that raced last year too). What would you do differently?: Not much! I was really surprised though how slow my time was considering how strong I felt. Transition 1
What would you do differently?: Bike without socks! I waste time putting those on. Learn how to pre-attach shoes and get in them on the bike. Bike
Comments: Biking is probably my best event. I made a little bit of improvement before this race and felt pretty strong. Transition 2
What would you do differently?: I missed my rack at first...ran past it. Was a little out of it. Even so, it was a decent time. Run
Comments: I felt really good on the run. That first hill out of T1 is always tough! LOTS of people ran the wrong way on the run course and didn't go down on the trail. I think it may have been shorter to stay on the road. The gravel is a little tough to run on. I was going back and forth the entire race with a couple of gals that ended up out-kicking me. What would you do differently?: Beat those gals that finished ahead of me by 3, 4, and 10 seconds! Darn them! :) Post race
Warm down: I jog and walk quite a bit. Event comments: Need that extra volunteer at the trail-head on the run so people do not go the right way. Last updated: 2007-07-29 12:00 AM

Clif Bar, banana, and latte for breakfast. I pack all of my equipment the night before and like to stay organized.
Not too much usually, jogging/walking and that is about it.
