Bike
Comments: I had some hamstring cramps late in the ride. I was a little tight after the hill intervals on Wed. The Gatorade Endurance seemed to help for a while so it may have also been nutional. This ride was wet almost from the get go. I ended up with my long sleeve wicking shirt on under the jersey and no rain coat. It was going to have to pour and get really cold before I donned the raincoat (I don't like the raining on the inside feeling. The last 15 miles or so were in a pretty constant rain. The temperature had also fallen all day so it was starting to feel cold. My hamstring cramps started to come back also. What would you do differently?: Drink more sports drink sooner Stretch more Post race
Warm down: Get into dry cloths, get a little food and then head for home and warm shower What limited your ability to perform faster: I could have ridden faster earlier but given the soreness I had at the end (knees and hammies) I'm not sure how much faster Iwould have done the whole ride - I just would have hurt more. Event comments: The only downer to this ride was the weather which they can't control. I defintely will keep this one on the plan for next year. Last updated: 2007-08-01 12:00 AM

Alarm went off at 5 am. Made coffee, had a couple of frozen waffles and check the weather - it was already raining and not looking good. Left Delano for the tour start at 5:45
Checked in, talked with a few poeple. Met up with Joe, Dana, Randel, Emily Bob, and Bridget
