Swim
Comments: This was my 1st OWS swim so the start was kinda a feel and see process. I made the mistake and started right in the Middle. I was wearing a wetsuit and it was AWESOME. Talk about Buoyant ! I'm a newbie with Tri's, but let me tell you a wetsuit makes swimming enjoyable - I never used my legs. What would you do differently?: Start to the outside Transition 1
Comments: Just one delay on trying to get my shoes on. Bike
Comments: I gave it everything I had on the Bike and I felt great. However, the USAT offical gave my a 2 min penalty for drafting. COMON. If I was truly drafting I don't mind taking the penalty, but this 2 min cost my 3rd place. I WAS SO MAD WHEN I FOUND OUT. What would you do differently?: Nothing - Just want the USAT offical to let the riders know if / when they receive a penalty. Transition 2
Comments: Everything went according to plan. I just started practicing removing my feet from my shoes and was able to accomplish this during the race. Not perfect, but I did it. What would you do differently?: Need to practice removing feet from my Bike shoes. Run
Comments: The 1st mile I was spent from the Bike, but was able to kick in the reserves for the last 2.1 The Run was HOT and there was no mile marker. What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Went right to the outdoor showers - This was a great feeling ! What limited your ability to perform faster: THE 2 MIN PENALTY - ARRRRRRRRRRRRR Event comments: I trained very hard for this race and really wanted to place. It's a shame a USAT offical gave me this penalty when I really was just zooming along. Looooooong wait for the start of the sprint. Last updated: 2007-08-04 12:00 AM

3:15 am BEEP BEEP BEEP - Woke up ate a bowl of Cereal with a Banana and a cup of Joe. Packed up the car left my house @ 4am - I live in Long Island. Arrived @ 5:30 and was surprise to see the parking lot starting to fill. Unpacked my gear and got a great spot on the bike rack. I was talking with a guy name Bill - nice guy. We were killing some time because we both had a dreadful 2.5 hour wait.
Ate a power bar 45 min prior to start
Just kinda walked around and stretched.
Talked to a bunch of people waiting for the sprint. Everyone was really nice.
