Comments: After not running more than 8 miles (in the beginning of August) for more than 2 months, I am staisfied w/ my time. This race was to get out and do the mileage, nice and "Easy Peasy" pace. My calves were tightening up the last mile, but I could definitely have gone harder. Also think I was a little dehydrated going in, was sick the end of last week and didn't really pay attention to my nutrition leading up to the race. What would you do differently?: Hydrate better leading up to the race. Run longer in training leading up to the race. Post race
Warm down: Got a massage (no waiting, which shocked me), had a beer, bagel, chips and a couple of CC cookies. Showered and headed home. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training. Event comments: I would definitely do this race again. Well organized and some decent food after. Of course the fact that it was such a beautiful day sure did help. Last updated: 2007-08-06 12:00 AM

Got to the race site and registered. Then just relaxed and watched people stress and deal w/ their nervousness. I kind of felt like I should be doing more, but that is because we are used to Tri's where you have a transition to set up, etc.
Walked over to the start and did some prehab.
