Pre-race routine:

Got up at 6:00am Had breakfeast english muffin with peanut butter and a banana. This time I tried not to drink too much before the race. I got my gear together, left around 6:50am in good time with Nancy and the kids.. Was able to find a good spot at the park, to set up.Picked up my kit

My swim went ok, had a good start to my swim. i felt comfortable in the water. My navigation was ok I would liked it to be better. I went off course on the way back. My time was abit slow.

Not a very good T1 it was a long run from the water. Had trouble getting off my wetsuit. Got on to my bike ok, but I had the shoes on the wrong feet. I was not sure what to do, do I stop and get off my bike or keep riding after about 5mins I said to myself keep riding it was not to bad.
What would you do differently?:

Shoes on the right feet.

Happy with my bike time. I think this was my best ride. I gave it my all. I also passed alot of people on the bike. I felt good on the hills and I was not passed alot on the hills and I passed a few riders on the hill. My bike is getting stronger. At the end of the ride with 10km or so I pushed hard. Maybe too hard, did not have too much left for the run.

Not happy at all, My run was a night mare right from the start. Had to walk too my times. Part of it could be because of the bike. Had cramps in my side. Try to walk it off. May the last 1km or so went a little bit better. but still wasn't great.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My run. Need to work on it on in the off season, or it my bike, by time I get to the run I have nothing left?

Event comments:

It was an OK day. Good bike ride, but a bad run. Not too happy with my time I was hoping to under 2hrs Also a little bit faster time in the water would be nice . This was a A race for me. So I was hope finish the season in a high note. I still have a 1/2 marathon to go.
