Comments: HOOOT water, really murky, disgusting ground. Started way in the back, passed a few people, but still got passed by a lot of people inthe wave behind me. Got off course a lot, couldn't seem to get back. Still not very good at rounding buoys still swimming freestyle. What would you do differently?: Sight more. More open water swim practices. Transition 1
Comments: My husband keeps saying I take my time in transition. I should feel rushed, and stop treating it like a rest between events. Bike
Comments: Thank god we previewed this course. Today's ride felt worse than the first preview loop, but way better than the second. I was worried I was taking it harder than I should, but my legs felt fine for the run. The only people I passed were on a hybrid or mtn bike. Was terrified I'd get passed by them again. What would you do differently?: Pedal more on the downhills. Larger gear on straight-aways (although there weren't many of these) Transition 2
What would you do differently?: Faster Run
Comments: Put on new bungee laces the night before, tied them too tight, ended up with blister on arch. Got passed by so many people here, including a bunch of 55-60 yr olds. A few team members passed and shouted words of encouragement. Hills suck. What would you do differently?: Don't try anything new during a race. How many times have I been told this? Actually show up to track practice some time. Make sure I don't have any more over-use injuries. Post race
