What would you do differently?: I would not do much differently. Transition 1
Comments: A little slow, but I stopped to talk to my mom and my sister, who were standing outside of tranistion. They drove all the way to see me very early in the morning, so the least I could do was take a couple secs to say hi! Bike
Comments: I enjoyed the ride. I probably did not race quit as hard as I should have, but it was a nice ride and I enjoyed it. I lost my Aero-bottle when I went over a bump and I ran over it, but I did not fall. What would you do differently?: There is not much I would do differently. If I had a little more timein the saddle it probably would have been a little fast. Also I might have been too comfortable in my pace adn probably should have pushed a little harder. Transition 2
Comments: This was a very slow T-2 time. I am not sure why it was so slow...I did not have any issues while in transition What would you do differently?: move a little quicker Run
Comments: I was pretty slow, but I was 3 minutes behind the 3rd place finsher adn 1 minute ahead of the 5th place finisher in my AG. I knew where I was so I really did not push it any harder than I had too. My first mile was just over 9 minutes, but after the turn around I saw that I was way ahead of the next person in my AG so I just relaxed the last 1.5 miles. It was hot, but not as hot as I thought it might be. What would you do differently?: I need a little moer conditioning inorder to be a little faster, but otherwise I was pretty happy with my run. Post race
Warm down: Finished the race and spent time with my mom and sister. I also talked to an A&M girl (who competes for A&M). She flated durign her race and I passed her on the side of the road about 4 miles from the finish. (She passed me a few miles into the ride and was very encouraging.) She was runnign her bike back to transition. I asked if she were alright and then I told the next volunteers about her hoping that they could help her. When I talked to her after the race, she had run her bike all the way back to tranisition and then she finished the race. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough training Event comments: It was a great local race with lots of volunteers. I had a great time! Last updated: 2007-08-12 12:00 AM

It was my first race with out Luke! He had to work and could not make it to the race! My mom and my sister came out to watch and cheer for me, though. I had my usual pre-race 1/2 a cliff bar, some coffee, and some water. It took me a little longer to load the car by myself, but otherwise I had no issues getting to the race in time to setup transition.
