Pre-race routine:

Hanging out, meeting up with Blaine and Dave. Setting up my transition in the parking garage for T2 and then headed up to the dam and set up T1.

Felt great getting on the bike. Didn't feel so good flying over the handlebars. Guy in front of me had something catch in his front tire and flipped him. I wasn't able to get out of the way fast enough. I think I bent my rear derailleur because it didn't want to go down into one gear, but other than that it was alright the rest of the ride. Gonna have to take it to a shop soon and get it set up.

Not "taper" so much.

Event comments:

The crash made the whole thing frustrating. End of the race was so uncoordinated. The gear moving from the dam was not properly announced. I'm thinking about writing a letter to the Sports Barn about all the issues I had.
