Swim
Comments: Good swim, was able to find a decent 'lane' and go hard. Any time I needed to catch my breath, the lake was shallow enough to stand and walk a few paces. What would you do differently?: Work on swimming straight. Transition 1
Comments: Still working out the kinks (only 3 tri-s so far) Bike
Comments: Felt like a decent ride - the ##s weren't as good as I felt, but I think the competition is a bit stiffer at the Olympic distance (as compared to sprints) What would you do differently?: More practice, better bike ;) Transition 2
Comments: Slow, slow, slow - Had trouble with shoes and gels. What would you do differently?: quick-laces? Run
Comments: Ran out of gas. Legs, lungs and heart felt fine, just didn't have enough 'go' in me. I had been improving my runs and hoped to run about 2 minutes per mile faster. What would you do differently?: Eat more pre-race (morning and night before), more gels on course. Practice, practice, practice Post race
Warm down: Rent chip anklet and collapse, re-hydrate and get some solid food. Stretch and head back to reality. What limited your ability to perform faster: Level of training - this is my first year and have done 2 sprints prior to this Oly - now I know what to work on for next year. Event comments: Good race, I am going to break 3:00 here next year - comfortably. Last updated: 2007-08-13 12:00 AM

Ate too little (Clif bar and banana) - drove in and registered, set up transition area.
short bike (make sure everything is functioning) - quick (5 minute) swim to get the blow flowing.
