Swim
Comments: Swim sucked plain and simple. Felt like I had bricks tied to my arms. Didn't go out to fast, tried to draft off anyone I could but there weren't a whole lot of people to draft off of. What would you do differently?: Swim faster. Transition 1
Comments: I screwed up and didn't pay attention to my heels when I was pulling my suit off. Got a lot of big folds around my calves. What would you do differently?: Pay attention to pulling my suit off. Bike
Comments: Should of been drinking more. The bike felt a little odd going out, kept pulling to the right, and found out why when I went for a ride after the race, my front brake was rubbing on the wheel. Really tried to fly down the hills and stay a little conservative going up the hills, and was stiull passing a lot of people on the ups. What would you do differently?: Don't go out so conservative, check everything on my bike after I set up transition. Transition 2
Comments: Good transition until I realized I didn't turn my socks the right side out. Probably would of cut my transition in half if they would of been the right way. What would you do differently?: fix my dang socks the night before. Run
Comments: Went out nice and easy. Negative splits the whole way accept the last mile which I think was a little long. Never let up on the effort but ran 30 seconds slower than mile 5. Loved all the aid stations, drenched myself with water every chance I could get. What would you do differently?: Not a whole lot. Post race
Warm down: Got in the lake and ate a burrito while colling off. Walked around a bit and ate fruit and drank water and sustained energy. What limited your ability to perform faster: Crappy swim, going out to easy on the bike. Event comments: Good race, a little expensive. Great food, tons of volunteers and tons of aid stations. Would definitely do it again. Blows the Rancho Seco Tri's out of the water. Last updated: 2007-08-16 12:00 AM

Got to the Tri early 5:45a.m. Picked up my packet and got a great spot in transition. Looked at the swim course and got a good mental picture of what I was in for in the water. Spent the rest of the time double and triple checking everything.
Got in the water swam around for about ten minutes or so, just to loosen up and get comfortable.
