Comments:

This was really difficult. Never swam in a race or with other people. I started out way too hard, and got a bit tired, and also kept drifting off course.
What would you do differently?:

I need to get comfortable swimming with other people. Also, need to learn to swim in a straight line and pace myself earlier.

This was my best leg. I passed a lot of people.
What would you do differently?:

Get better at drinking while running, until then stick to water--I became a sticky mess from all the spilt gatorade.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Swim killed me. I have to get comfortable with swimming in open water with other people. First transition was also pretty bad, but hopefully I'll check that I didn't pin the front of my shirt to the back next time :)

Course: Generally well paved. The organizers' description said there were "rolling hills". I am new to cycling and have only practiced on the north shore of Chicago, so I apparently "rolling hills" in Wisconsin are far hillier than "rolling hills" on the north shore :)
