Run
Comments: My mouth was very dry on the first run and there were no water stops. I think it was because I tried a caffeine tablet before the race and even though I drank a bunch before the race it still made my mouth dry. Felt pretty good on the first out and back, the second was a bit harder as I was fatigued. Overall not too shabby. My rank on the first run was 209, on the second run was 187 out of 253 What would you do differently?: Just keep running, just keep running. Transition 1
Comments: T1 - 2:07 The run was longer on T1, my bike was racked right near the bike exit/entrance. T2 - :45 What would you do differently?: My clip into my pedals was a little off, but that was the only thing that slowed me at all. Bike
Comments: I felt really good on the bike. Everyone kept telling me how bad the hills were in Central Park and I don't know if it is because I train on a lot of hills, but the course was great. What would you do differently?: Keep on keepin' on Post race
Warm down: walked around aimlessly, like usual. Didn't get any cool raffle gifts like last time. Missed getting a cool age group plaque by 10:29. Something to work on next year. What limited your ability to perform faster: Super duper technique Event comments: I loved the course. I will definitely be doing this again next year even though I had to get up wicked early. Alicia picked me up at 4:05am and we made our way into the city. We only missed one turn on the east side and only passed the garage once and had to go around the block. I kind of suck with the East side.
We ran up to the first traffic light and back in the park after we waited a half hour to check in.
