Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 2:45am, eat Prune bread and Raisin Scone with Milo. Arrive at race site around 4:30am.
Event warmup:

Before race, I did a easy run to warm up and some stretching.

Comments:

It was a good course. Ralatively easier than previous year with very little disruption during the run. The weather was good too.

Took 1 power gel at 7km mark, the 2nd one at 14km mark and last one at 18km mark.

There were less activities (e.g. performances, music) along the run course this year when compared with last year. The only significant one was the live band performing on the road in the last 1km stretch.

Was able to maintain a good speed throughout the run and managed to open up my stride during the last 1.1km to finishing.
What would you do differently?:

More training to improve timing.

Warm down:

Stretching, had 1 banana and 2 cans of 100Plus.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Insufficient run training.

Event comments:

It was a well organised race. It is definitely better than last year.
