Comments:

Ouch...painful run. I really thought that this course was going to be flatter. It was pretty much one V after another. Every downhill immediately turned into an uphill. I seriously thought about giving up at the end of Mile 2. The 5 mile folks turned to the left and our couse went straight. I really wanted to make that left and finish up. I finally decided that I needed to beat this race. I'm going to face tough runs when I move up to the HIM's. I guess I just decided that I had to beat this course if I wanted to have the confidence in myself when times get tough. My legs were really burning for the first 4 miles or so. All of the up and down so early got them pretty sore. Took till about 8 or so to really loosen back up.
What would you do differently?:

Not be sick for the last few days
Post race
Warm down:

Drinks and orange slices then stood in line for about 20 mins for the shuttle. Long walk back to the car from the school

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Me and those damn roller coaster hills

Event comments:

Great race. It kicked my butt but I still enjoyed myself overall. No pain no gain, right?
