Pre-race routine:

Rode in on Lakefront path and setup early. Relaxed with friends for ~2hrs, everyone a few waves apart.

Water was cold, even with wetsuit. felt good though, crod dispersed quickly and just grooved the whole way. woblly on the exit and run.

Technique work, perhaps some lessons.

decent run, paced too slow at the beginning, but was sort of lonely then, saw few people the first mile, then picked it up. Not a bad 5k time , only a minute off personal best(without the bike and swim bfore)

First Tri, it was fantastic, the whole experience was great. Expo was really good, pick-up was no hassle, even trnasition with all the people was not a problem. Will attempt the olympic next year. Only bummer was first mile of the run, too much open space and no one around(it was strange to be alone considering the amount of people in the race). One other phenomenal feature was the trakcing for your spectactors, the text messages helped my spectators know where I was.
