Run
Comments: Female: 86/373 Was having a good run and keeping on pace. Heel was quite sore the entire way. Downhills were not pretty. Was able to power up most of the hills and felt very strong.. even passed a few on hills. Felt really strong on this run. last Km was fast.. looked at my watch and it said 1:52 something and thought, oh crap, I'm not going to beat my time.. so picked it up quite a bit! Wasn't overly tired following the race, legs feel ready to go again already. Heel is very sore though. What would you do differently?: Not go out so fast. Suffered in the second half. Post race
Warm down: Stretch, ice heel. Coffee and hot shower. (very convienent to have a counter near the end of the shower for coffee!) Beer and lunch on a patio looking up into a clear, blue sky and the majestic rocky mountains. Frozen water bottle for my foot. What could be better! What limited your ability to perform faster: Stupid heel!!!!!!!!! (plantar faciitis.. so can not spell this, but I do know there are 2 i's in there someplace!) Event comments: Great race, beautiful, scenic course, not enough aid stations or mileage markers. Didn't stick around for food. Line up was way too long. Last updated: 2007-08-28 12:00 AM

Up not so early - 7:00. Ate my normal cereal and drank some watered down gatorade.
Haul family to the race (lots of whining!)
Walking around... too cold!!!!
