Pre-race routine:

Arrived early at 5:45, had no problem picking up my race packet and setting up my transition area. After warming up a thunderstorm rolled in and the race was delayed 1hr and 15 minutes.

Tough swim, fought off initial panic. Used mostly backstroke.
What would you do differently?:

Try to remain calm, use backstroke less, and freestyle crawl more.

Get some tri shoes. The bike shoes took a while to put on.

Good race, I enjoyed it. The late start was not the organizers fault. A thunderstorm caused the delay.
