Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 3:30 am, picked up mom, drove to Denton. Stopped to buy a cup of coffee. Breakfast=1/2 can Red Bull and bagel. Pre-race snack=Clif Bar and water

I really couldn't be happier with my swim. First OWS in a race with a ton of people in a beach start. I started out ducking and dodging but it seemed like after 50m a lane just opened up for me while people veered right and left. I turned the first buoy and stole a quick glance at what was ahead and behind. There were a lot more heads behind than ahead. =) I made one small gaffe when I tried to stand to early but that wasn't that big of a deal. I think I could have swam a little faster but I'll take today any day of the week.
What would you do differently?:

It was a long, long run up the hill to T1. I took the time to sit and put on ym socks. Overall I was quicker than the duathlon but still not 'fast'. At this point I'm more concerned with doing it correctly than doing it with blazing speed. Still, today was faster than last time.
What would you do differently?:

I think I could've run up the hill a little faster and gone through the motions quicker. I kind of stopped to take stock of my situation instead of just going. Everything is there Grant! Just put it on!

Slower than the duathlon but not my much. I paid more attention to a steady pace and drinking rather than just blowing it out. 8th out of the AG isn't awful but if I'm four seconds faster I'm 5th in my AG.
What would you do differently?:

Ride just a little harder. I let my cycling tail off the last 3 weeks of training so I was still a little uncomfortable on the bike.

I kind of yammied in my mouth when I bent over which made me stop and gather my self. Beyond that it was quick to get my stuff off/on and away.
