Powerade, banana & Oranges

Event comments:

Definately organized better than last year (inaugural). Better traffic direction for the Expo and free Expo parking. Expo better than last year and very good for a half but okay for a race of this magnitude and stature.

Pre-race accomidations okay with free water but no food at all. Last year they had the nerve to sell food like sausages, bacon...whatever.

On-course support was excellent. The boys and girls scouts cheering at Angels stadium were awesome. Cheer squads, marching bands, Mexixcan dancers, and Hawaiian dancers were also great.

Post race accomidations was good and horrible. Once you finished you got all the water, Powerade, bagels and fruit you could carry (I stayed under the canopy to refuel with oranges.) But once you picked up your bag, you were not allowed back to the refreshment areas and there was nothing in the family reunion area not even water! So our loving, supporting family and friends couldn't even get water to help endure the heat.

You'd think with the high race fees and parking fees they'd provide a little better.

Still a good race to shoot for a half-Mary PR, when it's not insanely hot.
