Total Time = 1h 11m 34s
Overall Rank = 10/58
Age Group = 31-40
Age Group Rank = 2/13
Pre-race routine:

Nothing special, bowl of oatmeal and a bottle of water. Showed up early enough to get the first position on the racks, which was nice.
Event warmup:

1/2 mile of light jogging, then some pretty good stretching.
Swim
  • 07m 31s
  • 400 meters
  • 01m 53s / 100 meters
Comments:

Good swim considering I haven't done any swimming in almost 2 months. It was tough passing guys in the pool, but I managed to get around 4 guys.
What would you do differently?:

Get a bit more pool time in before a race.
Transition 1
  • 01m 11s
Comments:

I could have been about 20 seconds faster here, and it would have closed the gap to the Fist place AG spot to 19 seconds
What would you do differently?:

go without the socks, although after starting, I was grateful I had them on. My toes went numb during the ride.
Bike
  • 35m 1s
  • 12 miles
  • 20.56 mile/hr
Comments:

Good bike, but my HR got up there pretty quick. After the first low climb I was able to get into a higher gear so I could maintain pace while bringing the HR down. I got passed by 1 guy on the bike...not in my AG though...so I let it slide.
What would you do differently?:

T.I.T.S
I haven't had nearly enough time riding, which would only have helped in the overall standings.
Transition 2
  • 00m 41s
Comments:

T2 was good for me....What more can I say?
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Run
  • 27m 7s
  • 3.3 miles
  • 08m 13s  min/mile
Comments:

I got passed by 2 guys in my AG here, but still had the best run I have ever had in a race. I am really pleased with it.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Post race
Warm down:

Didn't really do anything to warm down. I had to get back and cheer in my friends.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not riding enough, and not swimming enough. Otherwise...Fantastic finish to the '07 Race season.

Event comments:

It was a fun race for the whole family, as they had a Kids triathlon immediately following the "big kids" race. It was well organized, and a lot of fun for beginners, and veterans who just want a nice fast, fun race to finish out the season.
