Run
Comments: I brought my water bottle belt with me but just didn't feel like I could get to it today. I think the combination of my many layers of clothing and the cold made me not really want it. Don't know if I would have had more power in the legs if I had sipped water or not. I think I just worked too hard last week and the legs were telling me about it. What would you do differently?: umm, not kill myself with a monster work out 2 days before a race. Allow myslf to look stupid in a trash bag so I could have more movement actually running in shorts/run shirt cause onc ya get moving ya get warm Post race
Warm down: walked around, started drinking my water. Got some carob things and an apple t Ellwood Thompson's stand. I was cold from the sweat evaporating so we just walked over to the car and headed home What limited your ability to perform faster: tired legs...felt nauseas around mile 3...had a huge hip flexor cramp when taking off the timing chip. Still stretching out that one Event comments: WOO HOO I mde the top 100 again!!! Last updated: 2007-09-12 12:00 AM

Overcast
Overall Rank = 2498/6000
Age Group = 45-49
Age Group Rank = 84/310
Up at 5:30 for a quick shower and breakfast. Stretched the hams and calves at home. John, Carrie and I headed off around 6:50. Got into Richmond and had to go around a few blocks to get to a parking lot. We walked down to the Omni so I could visit he ladies room. Bought a banana and got Carrie a gatoraid ($4.00 for that!!!highway robbery). We walked up to 9th street and saw the marathon start. Pretty cool, I didn't see that last year when I ran this race. John and Carrie headed off to the finish area once we got into the corrals (as in they didn't bother to stay for the start)
stretched out on the jersey barricades along rhe side of the street, jutt trying to KEEP WARM was a challenge
