Swim
Comments: For me, a great swim. I kept a constant stroke pace, didn't backstroke, and weaved around slower swimmers pretty easily. Rounding bouys was uneventful...surrounded by very courteous racers. Again, for me, a very fun swim segment. Do to low fish count in lake this year, seaweed(or whatever it was)presence was constant, but not yucky. Transition 1
Comments: Overall smooth, but I could have been faster. I was in the middle of the transition area, so running with bike was not too bad. What would you do differently?: Less toweling off, faster into shoes, put shades into mt Bento box and put on after I get going. Bike
Comments: The fastest bike speed of my short triathlon career. Obviously there's always room for improvement, but I was happy with my performance. Transition 2
Comments: I owe #193 a huge apology... as I was moving right to dismount my bike from a complete stop, the guy to my right fell into me (and stayed upright) causing me to fall left into #193 before I could unclip. I don't think she fell down but I did hit her while I went completely "turtle"...how embarrassing! Badly cut left knee resulted. What would you do differently?: Unclip both shoes as I coast to dismount line. Run
Comments: For me a stellar run. Post race
Warm down: Pizza and Starbuck's Ice Tea What limited your ability to perform faster: Training was subpar, weight was up a bit from ideal. Event comments: I love this race! Great organization, great volunteers, great course! I can't wait until next year! Last updated: 2007-09-13 12:00 AM
