My HED Jet Wheel filled with water, adding 3 extra pounds to my bike. Great. Rained the whole time. Murdered the first 20, bonked, held on for the middle 20 died on the last 10. But had 3 gels and 2 cliff bars at 20-40, that helped me on run. Had to stop and pee too. Lost 5 positions right there.
What would you do differently?:

Gel BEFORE ride. Use stock wheels if it's rainy- or the spinergy if you still have it.

BRUTAL out and back. Heroic effort. The best finish I've ever had. Did a 6 minute mile the last mile to break the 5:20 barrier.
