    I felt great for the first 9mi it wasn't really until 11 however that I noticed my legs actually feeling pain they hadn't experienced before
    What would you do differently?:

    train on hills,

    Warm down:

    30 min stretch, ingest protein bar and fluid replacement beverage, walked to keep loose.

    What limited your ability to perform faster:

    Hills, # of participants, lack of gel or food during race.

    Event comments:

    I had a great time I wish I had got a few freinds to come with me. It was a great mental boost for me. As I classify myself as a non runner. this was a big milestone on my journey to IRONMAN 09'

    Course: over the scenic golden gate it was awesome. Not too hilly but the hills there were, were steep and short. only the hill leading up to the golden gate was long maybe 1.5 mile steady incline. 1 hill at mile 12.5 or so was the killer. I wanted to walk and probably was speed wise but I kept a run look. it was tough
