Comments:

I had a really bad start. Total K-OS. People started wherever they felt like, not between the bouys like last year. I ended up right in the middle. Kicked in the face & body, buit I got nervous of someone kicking me on my shoulder and popping it out. I swam way to hard in the beginning. Had to it was swim hard or get run over. I was literally gasping for air. Wanted to call it quits but could not, super pissed off in start.

I finally made it to the far right and then was able to focus on my breathing a stroke. Passed half, if not more of the idiots that took off flying.

Beginning of swim took way to much energy out of me.

Only happy with the swim from turn around bouy back.
Transition 1
  • 01m 55s
Comments:

Was tired from swim, but was fine.
What would you do differently?:

Include chap stick, My lips where chapped and they bothered me on the run.
Bike
  • 1h 20m 9s
  • 24.85 miles
  • 18.60 mile/hr
Comments:

It was difficult at first thanks to the swim.

Hard going to Miami Beach on Julia Tutle going into wind, Was able to come back on Julia Tutle at 25 + from bridge to bridge, both times. That was the only time I went that fast on flat pavement.

Bike felt good overall.
What would you do differently?:

I did not drop to down to small ring on big bridge coming back first loop. Will do it next time. Got kind of cocky b/c was able to go over small bridge coming back on big ring with good speed, thought i could do same on big bridge. I was wrong.
Transition 2

Comments:

Chapstick
What would you do differently?:

Do it faster.
Run
  • 1h 29m 36s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 14m 26s  min/mile
Comments:

Run sucked. Did run/walk.

Totally fried.

Did not listen to my coach, and should have taken fluids with me on the run.

Fluids were spread out further this year than last.
What would you do differently?:

Start training to run faster.

Listen to my coach.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

My run.

Event comments:

They had nothing except water at the end of the race. That sucked. THey could have has asport drink and fruits.

Over all happy I came back on the swim and still made top 28%.
